Rachael Dewberry is a Norman native and University of Oklahoma graduate, where she achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 1999 with an emphasis on Television News. Receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in 2002, Rachael graduated in the top quarter of her class and has been actively practicing law since that time. Rachael established Dewberry Law Firm in 2014 and is currently a member of the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council.
Rachael spent her early years of practice as an Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa County, Oklahoma where she prosecuted Deprived, Misdemeanor, and Felony cases. Named "Outstanding Misdemeanor Prosecutor", Rachael learned the art of presenting a case before a jury and during her tenure with the District Attorney’s Office, where she tried over thirty jury trials.
After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Rachael worked for the District Attorney’s Council where she served as the state-wide Domestic Violence Prosecutor helping small counties strengthen their domestic violence prosecution efforts throughout Oklahoma. A member of the Oklahoma State Bar Association, Rachael also belongs to the Cleveland County and Oklahoma County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Northern District. In 2017, Rachael was honored to be a part of the Leadership Norman Class of 2017 where she renewed and strengthen her ties to the Norman community.
Rachael currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Mary Abbott Children's Home, a non-profit children's advocacy center that provides forensic interviews and medical assessments to child victims of abuse. Additionally, Rachael was honored to be selected to be part of the 34th class for Leadership Oklahoma an organization that connects passionate servers, leaders, and forward-thinkers in all things "Oklahoman."
In addition to her active law practice, Rachael also serves as an Administrative Law Judge for the Civil Service Division of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services for the State of Oklahoma. In this role, Rachael conducts trials and hearings related to employment matters. Further, Rachael is a part of the 2023-2024 Impact Oklahoma Organization, which is a network of like-minded women focused on five nonprofit categories: Family, Health & Wellness, Education, Community and Arts & Culture.
Rachael resides in Norman, Oklahoma with her spouse and children.
